Rates & Policies

Listed below, you will find our current rates and policies. If you do not find the information you need, please contact our office and we will provide it for you.

Water rates as of June 1, 2023: 

First 1,000 gallons $17.50 minimum charge
Next 9,000 gallons $5.52 per 1,000 gallons
Next 15,000 gallons $4.98 per 1,000 gallons
Over 25,000 gallons $3.24 per 1,000 gallons
Bulk water  $6.65 per 1,000 gallons

A 10% late charge will be included on all balances not paid on due date.

NOTE: 

As of January 1, 2012, P.W.S.D. #8 no longer issues blue disconnect notices to customers due to the increased amount of delinquent accounts.

If full payment is not received, your water service will be discontinued at noon the following day after your due date.  If your due date falls on a weekend, water service will be discontinued at noon on the following business day.

Payment arrangements will only be accepted if you call prior to your due date, NO EXCEPTIONS.

If water service is discontinued for non-payment, the full amount plus $30.00 reconnect fee must be paid by cash, money order or speed pay before service can be restored.  Water service will be only restored during regular working hours, Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Miscellaneous Fees:

If water is disconnected for any cause, a $30.00 reconnection fee must be paid prior to having water service restored.  Reconnections will only be made during regular business hours.

A $20.00 service charge will be charged for any check that is returned to our office by the bank for insufficient funds or other reasons.

A $15.00 service charge will be charged if the District answers a service call for a freeze-up of water service and the freeze-up is located past the meter which is your responsibility.

NEW TAMPERING POLICY ADOPTED JAN. 10, 2017, $500.00 TAMPERING FEE WILL BE CHARGED IN THE EVENT ANY WATER METER OR ANY OTHER SERVICE FACILITIES SHALL HAVE BEEN TAMPERED WITH.  ENTERING THE METER PIT & TURNING THE VALVE OFF OR ON FOR ANY REASON IS CONSIDERED TAMPERING WITHIN THE MEANING OF THIS POLICY.

It is also the water user's responsibility to ensure that no damage occurs for any cause other than normal wear and tear to meters, meter tiles, meter lids and other related metering equipment.  Repairs to said equipment will be at the user's expense.

Field personnel are not allowed to accept any type of payments.
